Build a walk-in cooler for your restaurant with a CoolBot and a standard air conditioner
CoolBot for Restaurants
You can build an affordable walk-in cooler for your restaurant using a CoolBot and a standard air conditioner. Restaurants use CoolBot-driven coolers as both their primary walk-in coolers (for small to mid size restaurants) and as back up or secondary storage (for larger restaurants). Our restaurant customers save on lower upfront costs and smaller monthly electricity bills compared to traditional compressor systems. Additionally, no need to worry about expensive service visits – we offer online, email, and phone technical support for easy troubleshooting – for free.
- Extra attention to insulation
- Oversize the A/C if you need to keep the cooler extra cool
- Keep door openings to < 6 times per hour
- Install a door light indicating when the door is open to help remind the team to keep the cooler sealed
If you do want to open the cooler door more than 6 times per hour, contact us for help with sizing your air conditioner. We find that well insulated coolers with an upsized air conditioner can handle more door openings.
“We have been needing a walk-in cooler for our church commercial kitchen for roll-in carts when we do large events. Found the Coolbot in my research and designed a plan…We could not be happier with the whole project and it worked flawlessly for a large wedding last weekend. We built the whole project for under $2,000. Everyone is pretty amazed!”
“I have been using your product at my restaurant for a few months now. Fantastic is all I can say about it. Any plans for a unit to make a freezer model? I would buy one.”
“I spoke with you a couple of times last year after I bought my coolbot. I love this thing, and I tell all of my micro bakery friends about them. It really is a marvelous invention…PS. My energy bill dropped by 350 to 400 KWH per month with the coolbot installation.”
